I had an iphone 6 that was working perfectly on ios 10.3.3. Never damaged, always in a case. I made a complete backup in itunes, then did the update process in itunes over the cable to ios11 due to storage constraints (16GB). The update process verified there was enough free space available to proceed with the update. After about 1.5 hours of updating, my iPhone 6 failed the update process to iOS11. Itunes gave me the option of restoring to iOS10 using my backup, or losing all data and reinstalling the firmware to ios11. Both of those options failed. After this, the phone was stuck on the cable screen telling me to plug into itunes. I took it to the Genius Bar and they were unable to recover the device, or reinstall the firmware. It was bricked. They told me the diagnostics said I needed a new logic board at $300.

Hi, so for a long time now i have been using my ipad 4th gen which stopped updating at ios 10.3.3 which with the minimal apps i use i've not run into any problems..just now i had an update notification telling me to update to 10.3.4 so i downloaded the update but stalled the install to first go check it out on the apple link provided with the update and it says no CVE ENTRIES & i cannot click the update for any information, why is this what is cve entries and if they stopped updates why is there one all of a sudden?? is this a hacker??

iPhone or iPad notifications not working may happen just you've updated your operating system to newly released version or worse without any sign, if you happen to encounter no alerts on iOS and need efficient help, here is how you can troubleshoot.

6. If you've tried all of the above methods, but the notifications are still no working, then consider updating your iOS to the latest released version 10.3.2, which includes bug fixes that may solve the notifications not working.

The people who couldn't give a hoot about that are the same people who will gladly deactivate this feature because their texting or calls or social media notifications or whatever else is so much more important than everybody else's safety.

I sure hope OS 11 will fix what 10.3.3 did to my iPhone 6 with regards to the battery. I can have a full charge -to about 60% and all of a sudden the phone goes black. I have to hit the power button several times before the Apple comes on s-l-o-w-l-y. When my charger is not available, the phone is dead! When I can connect to a charger, it will charge up to at least 50% within minutes.

If none of the solutions above works for iOS 11 GPS not working, the final way you can try is to downgrade from iOS 11 to iOS 10.3.3. This can get your iPhone back to the stable operating system with fewer software issues.

I'm working on various phones with all the updates (SE,6,6s,7,etc) From what I know there are minimal to no issues with any of the phones that have been updated since. Have you don't any service to your unit prior to the new OS Release?

Please help to identify if iOS11 is specifically INCOMPATIBLE (at the time of this post) with N71AP (iphone 6) and the D101AP (iphone 7). Even if your phone is working, please indicate your CPU here to see if there is a trend to the actual CPU type being the true culprit! For iPhone7+ users, you will either have the D11AP or D111AP processor. There may be subtle differences between the processors causing this nightmare. All other phones with or without ios11 incompatibility, please report your CPU here as well and whether or not your iOS11 is working to see if there is a pattern.

I have the same problem. My iphone has been like a brick for the past couple of hors. Although I get notifications and incoming call alerts, I cannot read my messages neither can i answer any calls. Hard reset doesnt work; cannot switch it off either

The problem appears to be isolated to specific hardware versions of phone. My phone was one of the units that worked perfectly with 10.3.3, but locking up on 11.0.3. Because it is one week past warranty, they want me to pay $350 for a swap as they insisted my logic board was bad! I don't think so, it worked FLAWLESSLY for 1 year on iOS10, only at iOS11 did it "break". My iphone7 obviously still works, but hangs when changing between icons/apps and gets stuck in boot loops for hours prior to breaking free and operating again. That being said, I believe the gentleman who made this post could be on to something BIG.

Since iOS 11, Apple has disabled scheduled fetch and notifications for favorited folders and sub folders for non-push mail accounts in the native mail app of iOS.This fetch used to happen in iOS 10.3.3 without any problem.Apple is also saying this problem in iOS 11.x is not widespread and only a few users are troubled by it hence will not resolve it.

I was forced to go back to ios 10.3.3 but unfortunately ios 11 had corrupted my iphone backup so basically I ended up with a factory refresh phone upon which I have had to restore everything manually.

Still not receiving notifications on your iPhone after all the above fixes? At this point, you should try resetting your device's settings. Doing this will restore your iPhone's notification preferences to the defaults, hopefully fixing whatever is affecting notification delivery.

Luckily, iOS 11 battery life is not much of an issue for a lot of users. In fact, in my iOS 11 review I mentioned that I was getting battery life similar to what I was experiencing on iOS 10.3.3. But of course, I can't speak for everyone here, so your mileage may vary depending on what you have installed on your iPhone or iPad or what model you have. Fear not though, you can regain some lost iOS 11 battery life by turning certain features on or off.

Knowing how to use AirDrop on iPhone/iPad can come in handy when you're trying to transfer photos or files between friends. Whether it's transferring your data from one of your devices to another or sending someone else a file, airdropping is very convenient. If you're someone just switching over to the Apple ecosystem, you might not know how to use AirDrop. Don't worry, it's fairly easy and it only takes seconds to transfer files between your iPhone, iPad, or even Mac. Let's go over how you can AirDrop files from your iOS device and also what to do if, for some reason, your AirDrop isn't working.

If you have managed to find out why your AirDrop isn't working, then it's pretty easy to fix the issue. However, if you can't figure out what's wrong, you can try turning your Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on and off, or restarting your phone. Check if there's anything turned off in the settings. And if everything else fails, use a file-sharing app like AirDroid Personal to transfer files. There are many alternatives to AirDrop, in case yours doesn't work. Download a file-sharing AirDroid personal and you can transfer your files between iOS devices, Windows, and even MAC. Here's why AirDroid is your best bet.
